Aptus prepared a concept design level feasibility study for a site in the River North area of Chicago. Currently, a pair midblock townhouses between two larger buildings, the site can support a much higher density. Aptus researched the possibility of developing the site into either residential occupancy or office occupancy, and explored possible architectural articulations of either use. Both uses exist in the neighborhood, but are in different stages of their respective business cycles, with residential being very active at the time of the study.
