Some info about the project.
Size: 27,000 sf
Date Completed: 2010
Zappos.com was in need of a redesign to the first floor of its main building within its rapidly expanding campus in Henderson, Nevada. The build-out consisted of approximately 27,000 sf of office space. We were able to design a solution that would create a more open, collaborative, and efficient environment. The space also needed to exhibit a balance between form and function, while allowing for flexibility and openness allowing chance encounters between employees.
The re-design provided open work areas for five different departments, including Brand Marketing, Direct Marketing, Apparel, KANDU, and the training staff. Three large training rooms were added to train new customer service employees. Staff amenities include the café and lounge, which are now located near the main entrance to make the lobby space feel more active. Also included within the design are a game room, sleep room, and an additional break room.
