Library Master Plan, Town of Tonopah

Client:  Town of Tonopah, Nevada
Size: 5,000 sf

The Town of Tonopah was in need of a master plan to incorporate the addition to their Public Library. Aptus created a long term phased master plan to incorporate the existing library, history library, and the history home to the north of the site.

The master plan included an interior connection to the history library and additional stack areas for books, displays, reference area, and seating. A new children’s library is designed to include stacks, maker/craft area with storage and story area, and a TV area for movie time.

Also included in the Master Plan is a new computer lab to house eight adult stations and four child stations, and will include a coffee/vending area. Additional components include a dedicated office, staff break/lounge area, work room with storage, community room, and additional parking.
