Adaptive Recreation Building

The Henderson Outdoor Multiplay Environment, or HOME Park, will be the first sports and recreational facility in Southern Nevada purposely designed for individuals of all abilities. It is currently being master planned with bid documents to be issued in 2023. Aptus is designing the recreation building which must coordinate with the park planning and construction. Research was done by Aptus in early stages to better understand the needs of potential users and the treatments used in therapeutic recreation before beginning the design process. The building will offer dividable activity rooms, classroom, a sensory room, a calm area for those with differing sensory input tolerances, offices for staff and an outdoor classroom.
