Nevada SPCA
Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Nevada SPCA) was founded in 1982, as Las Vegas’ original no-kill shelter. Displaced from a deteriorating location during COVID, the organization needed critical help to locate, design and deliver a new space on a tight six-month timeline. Aptus served as location scout, lease advisor and architect. The +/-19,500-sf tenant space includes remodels to an existing office area, conference room and break room. Aptus also created a new, more inviting entry area and provided many new spaces for a variety of animals that reduce animal anxiety and make health and safety a priority. The new facility increased the number of animals the Nevada SPCA can adopt out by 30%, to 3,000 per year.
