UNLV Main Campus Entry
As part of its university master plan, UNLV is converting a parking lot at Harmon and Maryland Parkway into a new and welcoming entry for the main campus. Conflicts with parking, ride-share drop-off and pedestrian access occur at the location. The design must solve for these issues as well as create a welcoming and versatile outdoor space for student, faculty, staff and visitor use. A project visioning and goal-setting meeting with UNLV established goals and objectives for the site. Aptus’ conceptual designs create an iconic campus gateway while offering greater connectivity to the campus, aligning with the goals of the master plan. This project was done in collaboration with landscape architect Hargreave Jones.
